I honestly aspire to have a similar build as to you, impressive work thus far! Conservative yet still seeking a “bit” more from the L15 platform. Sorry if i’m asking a silly question but how has the experience been with all those mods paired with the stock tune?

Thanks. Sometimes I have doubts about my build choices. It's unique for this platform. I guess I kinda like being an oddball

I started with the ktuner 21/23 19/23 and then TSP stage 1. From there it was intake, then FMIC. Then I added the turbo and catted dp. Once the swap was done, I've been custom tuned ever since. Normal driving isn't much different than TSP stage 1 map 3. Dropping to 3rd on the highway and ripping it is where there's a definite difference. I feel a difference from a dig too. I hit can hit 60 in 2nd gear

It’s never a bad thing to be a tad different, especially when you’re gathering parts from reputable sources! I believe the MHI combined with the Exedy clutch is a sort of OEM+ kind of combo. Literally both manufacturers of each part makes the oem parts for our car if i’m not mistaken! I just didn’t realize the MHI was optimized/works well with the oem tune and it’s strange parameters/limits.

I was thinking that when I was planning to go with MHI turbo.

I'm not sure how well it works on stock tune or how safe it would be. I believe there is a base calibration available for Hondata. If I remember correctly, they were making 260hp

Oh i’m sorry maybe i misunderstood, i thought you have been running the stock tune with all of these mods! Hence why i was asking how it has been haha cause i was a bit surprised given the upgraded turbo. It all makes sense now lol! I appreciate the replies boss!

Just wondering how your stage 2 is still holding up?

I’ve been running the exedy stage 1 with exedy’s lightweight flywheel for a little over 40,000 miles at 282-286 torques and during my engine rebuild the clutch looked great.

I’m thinking of going stage 2 when this one eventually needs to be replaced.

Over 16 months and 15k+ miles. Still as grippy as ever. It occasionally has a tiny bit of chatter in first and reverse when I don't give it enough gas. My truck will stall when this happens, so I'll take chatter. No lockout issues to report
