Hey All,

Name is Brandon from Newfoundland Canada.

Figured I'd start a little build journal. As I've done it for my outback and sti in the past and currently still updating my sti one haha

Dont plan on this car being a crazy build like my previous ones. Had a bagged, flared and big turbo sti and a slammed, semi built outback. Only going to be simple bolt ons and a few writes ups. Mostly just for me to keep all my info for future reference.

So some stuff thats currently done to my R is Rally Armour mud flaps, Carbon door pieces and door handle overlays, rod colored knobs, CF overlayf for the steering wheel, Stage 1 PRL intake. Superspeed wheels, fog light and indicator overlays as well as tail light reverse/single light overlays and CF mirror caps. Ill def need to get more pics of some of these things as I did not really do so haha

Stuff that I have ordered are rear reflector lights are getting LED brake lights, wheel air caps in red, and hood scoop overlay

Stuff im ordering within the next month is KTuner V1.2, Front splitter, PRL catless dp, PRL intercooler core and radium dual catch can which I will do write ups on installs.

Now for some pics of the so far

When I first got it

The cars I drove when I decided to go with the Type R. Only one missing was a 2020 STi but it didnt change much from my 2012 and a 2019 Golf R

To be honest I loved all of them for different reasons hah

Found out today PRL are stopping the production of the catless downpipe, so picked one of those up before they are all gone.

Also my springs should hopefully soon be here haha

if not to late, you should save yourself the trouble down the line and go with hondata

Actually I should of mentioned that hah I did decide to go with Hondata. There is alot more feature there I didnt realize and seems to be more parameters for tuning as well

Looks great Brandon! I am surprised you decided on the hondata either way you'll be happy. I didn't know PRL is discontinuing the catless DP! Good thing you grab one. I see you buy from Teknotik, I do too, great company.

I was basically convinced by Eric Aprilnto go with hondata haha he said he preferred it so whatever the tuner prefers I usually go with hah

yup! Teknotik told me about the catless stuff going out lol that’s who I ordered the rest of my bolt ons through. But the PRL inlet pipe kits are on back order for them until mid May

thanks for the kind words!!

Some pics of my Springs

Cant wait to get these on. Prob going to get new tires this year and debating 265/30 or 265/35

Grill I bought from ebay. Suppose to allow more airflow which I can see as the top part of the grill is way more open.

Now from what I read on another thread the oem badge will fit with some modification but the FG2 red emblem fits perfect so ill prob order one and keep the oem badge as a decorative piece hah

Next is the exhaust. GReddy makes one hell of a nice exhaust. the SP exhaust has been around along time. I remember guys rocking them on Preludes in the early 90s. Now for some pics
