hi everyone.

I have been having a p219f code pop up for a while now. bit just today found out it was a p219f code with an obd2 reader. it just showed up as an emission system error.

anyone know what I can do to make sure thos code doesn't come back?

it says it's a 4th cylinder air fuel ration imbalance.

would I need to replace spark plugs or could it be something more serious?

thanks for any help guys and gals.

Here's some generic info on the code. In addition to what's listed below, I wonder if it could be faulty fuel injector(s)?

Before replacing the fuel injector, try using a heavy duty fuel injector additive in your gas tank.

You need to replace the fuel injectors. They are sold as a matching set, you cannot replace just one, they are balanced and paired from the factory in sets of four. You will also need the aluminum hard fuel line that runs from the high pressure fuel pump to the fuel rail. This is a one-time use only fuel pipe, it cannot be reused AT ALL. The fuel pipe comes with a special lubricant that is used for torquing the flare nuts down, the fittings are single-time crush fit. They must be torqued to 39Nm (iirc, comes with instructions). Failure to skip any of these steps can lead to fuel leaks on a 3500+psi fuel system.

Just curious if honda determined the exact cause of your issue. My brother is currently getting a P219D on his civic.

So my wife's 2018 Civic Si with approximately 90k milea just threw a P219B code while being test driven after a transmission replacement. The dealership is telling me the same thing that you said. Is there any chance that a fuel additive run through the system would clear up this issue as another poster stated?
