Hi guys, maybe you can help me with this.

Civic FK7 Sport+
1.5T
Bj 2017 approx. 38K run.

The car has been driving very strangely for a couple of days.
In the partial load range and full throttle, the engine starts to jerk at around 4000 rpm, as if it were extremely adjusting the boost pressure.
Accelerating out of 6th gear at 80 km/h also jerks briefly.

check engine light also went on with various other errors in the speedometer, but I had disconnected the battery for an hour. Everything went out again and didn't come back (since about 60miles) but the error memory says:

P0172 - power train
System Too Rich (Bank 1)

Can you narrow down what it could be?

Greets Michael

Ps:
I translated the text from German to English with Google.
sorry

Kind of impossible if it hasn’t come back. It could be dirty air filter, idling too long, failing o2 sensor, bad battery or even cosmic radiation causing memory errors. I had a similar issue a few months ago with my engine light and every other light came on after installing a corrupted version of “newpipe” on the head unit while idling. I got rid of my P0172 code by factory resetting the ecu followed by reinstalling my tune. No idea what caused it to this day. Malware maybe.

Injector failure. The injectors go bad all the time and set this code. You need to replace all four injectors and the one time use hard pipe that goes from the high pressure fuel pump to the fuel rail. In the US we have a warranty extension recall that covers the injectors.

If this fixes it, buy me a beer if I come to Germany next year lol.

hello, it was actually the mass airflow sensor.
I'd still be happy to buy you a beer if you're around.
Thank you and greetings from Germany

As a heads-up, the warranty coverage seems to depend on the failure code. We weren't able to get Honda to cover the 1.5T injectors past the 70K CA emissions warranty for emissions code P019D. We believe the warranty extension on 1.5T is limited to symptoms related to oil dilution. Misfire codes and the above-mentioned P0172 code do qualify.

(If there's another warranty extension to consider, it would be awesome to list here.)
