The Accord was the last remaining mid-size coupe after Nissan discontinued the Altima coupe in 2013. That market has run its course. It's dead.
Too bad I love COUPES, I bought the Nissan 3.5SE back in 2007.

I guess I will be buying the 370Z if Honda or any other company decides not to make it.

Honda is really making it hard to stay a fan.

Offering a manual in their civic hatchback but it only comes in the barebones model...

killing the accord coupe while making the accord look like THAT?

Sales of the Civic Coupe has to be suckage, I'm seeing more HB's now than Coupes.

Technically - they do offer a Type-R Touring as the manual hatchback high trim offering but screwed the pooch anyway by letting dealers overcharge for them and not making enough to supply demand.

An Si Touring hatch at right around the 30k mark would slot in nicely to fill this gap.

If anything, this only strengthens the rumor that we'll see the Accord Coupe rebranded under the Prelude marque.

I will sell my CivicX...wait, maybe my Murano (LOL) if Honda brings back the Prelude.

Honda Civic 10th gen Enjoy your coupes while they last Bgf9T6q

Okay the front may be acceptable, but what is up with the rear? It's like a Hyundai and a Corolla had a baby and came up with this abomination. It's so bland and unispiring! =(
First thought with the rear was Hyundai Azera lol

I think the rest will grow on me/look better in different colors. Same happened with the Civic hatch for me too.

Love how some of you are bashing a car you wont see in person for months. Give it a chance, stop by the dealers after release and take a look.
No offense - but isn't it too early to be deciding you'll be buying the '18 Accord. You might want to wait until its released and you can test drive it before proclaiming it to be your next car.

And if you're buying it based on the photos released so far, well, I'm at a total loss for words. I had great hopes for the '18 Accord release but Honda really blew it with the exterior design big time.

That only applies to the US

Canada and the rest can get it in all the trims.

Barebones? Hatch has 6 speed in LX, Sport and Type R (Touring). They can easily update that for 2018 to more models.
Yes Barebones when you compare it to the other countries where stick is offered in all the trims + Si and Type R
