Can it be done? Yes
Can it work with your current transmission, and existing drive line components? NO
With the right fabrication, new engine mounts, engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, wiring, etc, etc, etc an the list goes on.
7k is not enough for this you probably are looking at close to realistically $25,000+ IF someone even decides to give you a hand in doing this.
Yes any drivetrain can be swapped into pretty much any chassis but that also goes along with all kinds of other things such as chassis bracing, upgrading fuel system etc. There is someone doing a k20c from the new type R into an EG hatch, and i'm sure there are other people swapping them into other chassis as well.
If you go ahead with this then wish you all the best.
