Hello Guys & Gals,
I had my 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback Sports Touring CVT’s engine harness chewed by some mouse or squirrel.
Tried to start the car and engine had a hard time starting like it was a low battery. Started to get all the warning signs. Check engine light, emission control system problem, forward collision system problem. And the car started to feel like it was on low gear when driving.
So I get it inspected by a Honda dealership and they quoted 560 CAD to repair it or 1800 CAD for a new engine harness and obviously + tax.
So after seeing some YouTube videos I found some confidence in changing the connector and re wiring it myself.
I was hoping if I could get some help from you guys.
I was thinking of two ways:
* Actually taking the connector apart and re wire.
* Buying the connector with the three wires attached so I can just connect the wires.
Im hoping to buy the connector cuz in the end if I get all the tools for something I’ll use only once(hopefully).
I’ve tried to take the connector off from the engine but was unable, do you have to like twist it and pull? Lol
Anyone know the parts, please help.
And help would be thank you
