Engine bay cleaning

Am i able to just degrease it, and then spray it down with a pressure washer with a 40degree tip,
Idk if im right by assuming it shouldn't cause any issues. If im not putting the pressure washer tip right up on stuff.
Never cleaned an engine bay in anything past 1995 lol

ChrisFix has a good video on deep cleaning an engine bay. You basically don't want to spray water directly into anything electronic, but everything is designed to get reasonably wet and survive.

I sorta figured that.
But also see people just blasting the whole bay and being okay.
Im too nervous to mess something up by doing that.
Id definitely not get close with pressure. But im almost thinking ill pay someone to detail it once. And watch how they do it. And do it myself after lol.

Cover alternator. Use light spray. Remove battery and battery tray. I recently cleaned mine and found standing water in battery tray says after. Do on a warm day. Leave hood open after to air dry places you couldn’t reach.
