Hello,

I haven't flashed the ktuner unit for awhile and for some reason when trying to flash it it appears my ecu doesn't match. I've been driving on the tune for a good 4+ months and its been doing great. Just need to flash back to stock but cannot seem to do that.

The ecu module it is "datalogging" at the bottom is 37820 5AN c53. My ecu number is 378205An c53 0m1, and the software is 37805 5AN C520. In the history of flashes, my vin number matches the history

Happened after I disconnected the battery and reconnected it.

If anyone could let me know how to fix this that'd be great, thanks!

I think someone had this issue recently and KTuner said that it's either the V1.2 not fully plugged in or not keyed on properly or a dead battery.

I believe the ktuner unit is plugged in properly as it can connect to tunerview without a problem for the last 4 months and today still, the key is turned twice (not on), I have been having some random error codes such as a CEL, hill start problem, transmission problem, parking brake problem, which went away after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Did the LED indicator blink green light? If the dongle plugged in correctly to OBD II, LED indicator will blink green light.

I will check. If the connection was the case, how could I fix this?

You would need to call KTuner if there is problem with the dongle.

Every time we get a call about this it's either not plugged in all the way or the vehicle isn't fully keyed on. Reseat the unit. Verify it's LED is blinking.

You can also:
Check the pins on the unit and check the OBD port itself.
Plug it in to a different supported Honda/Acura vehicle to verify it operates.

Thanks to everyone here, I'd like to follow up and say that after charging the battery and tightening down the clamps on the battery, I was able to flash it again no problem. It seems I need to replace the battery soon.

One HUGE tip/recommendation. Hook up a battery tender while you are flashing. Flashing uses a fair amount of battery power and the tender will definitely reduce the drain.

Highly recommended driving at least 30 mins before flashing.
