The only things bug me are the carbon and the fitment on the top. It looks much better with glossy black to fit the overall tone of the car.

It looks like the top bumper piece is sagging. Do you have picture of the side profile like this one?

*Edit adjusted the fitment. Gaps still exist, but are lessened to some degree. It could be improved further but would require shaving the part, etc.

Which grille is this? Is this the ProCivic one or an eBay one?
I saw that grill on AliExpress :p It looks decent enough to be honest. Not sure how the fit actually is.

Has anyone that's put one of these better flowing grills on actually experienced less heat soak in the motor?

has anyone done the rep j's racing one on the type r yet? and does it have the same amount of crazy fitment issues as the real deal?

LOL the unevenness of that is a joke for nearly $500. You'd think they could at least straighten it out for the product pictures...
These aftermarket grills are filmsy as paper craft origami as far as I can tell, and my money is only for the OEM grill made in ABS.

I believe what Spoon has is actually an OEM grill with cutout and mesh backing, which is much durable with the best fitment.

The J's Racing is made from FRP and requires you to cut the center support on your bumper cover, which makes it the worst.

I have the ebay grille but it looks like mine did not come with the emblem holder in the center. It just has a cutout for it with a holder and hole for a screw. Does anyone know the part number for the correct emblem holder? Is it this one?

When I had the eBay grill I tried purchasing part number 71124-SNA-A00 since it was $15 on Amazon. It fit in the hole but there were gaps all over and popped off easily. I ended up returning it and just buying the Procivic grill.

The part number stamped on the holder for the procivic grill is 71121-TR3-A0-M1.

Still not 100% happy with the fit of the procivic grill.

1. It dug into my bumper and required some dremel work.

2. There are some visible gaps between the top of the grill and the bumper.

Final update from me on the rep J's grill.

If you are going to run it, run an upper bumper cover. It helps smooth out the transition of the grill to the bumper and helps cover any gaps.
