Hey guys, I just recently purchased my type r about a month ago and the first I noticed was the nasty grill, later to find out that a lot of owners are having issues with heat soak, so I did a few mods to my ctr, prl catless downpipe and mid pipe, ign intercooler and charge pipes, I read that a few si owners were putting on type r grills so I figured if it works for them then it should work the other way around, so I went on eBay but the cheapest grill that has the large opening and put it on, everything lines up like it should (the eyelids doesn't work just reuse yours), I ordered a type r front badge, I did have to trim the edges with my dermel to get the badge to fit, but nevertheless it works!! I asked around and saw that vendors were selling grills but they wanted way to much and that was with a discount and I wasn't going to pay any more than 100 for a china front grill lol, anyways here is the product and this should help me when I got to the track!! Enjoy!!!

I have the same. To avoid trimming an FK8 emblem, you could simply get an FD2 emblem.

I did notice a 10+ degree difference with regular driving, on the highway i was around 192 and with the new grill around 174, not bad

I would also like to know if this grille is compatible with the Type R badge.

i just brought a fk8 civic 4dr grill, the eye lids wont work bc ctr have different headlights but the front grill will work, just reuse your eye lids, the oem ctr front badge doesnt work like i stated up front, but 98-0245 said you can use a FD2 front badge and it will work

I would get this if they made the diamond cross openings instead of the honeycomb design

I was referring to the "Type R" badge. Is it not transferable? Also, how do you like the Injen intercooler?

Front badge isn't transferable, i like the injen intercooler, i chose the injen because it was the biggest out in the market
