There's a lot of difference in a competitively priced part of good quality and something way cheaper than that.
If they sell it that cheap, you lost $300-400 of knowledge and good material in their manufacturing process and will likely spend that much making the cheap part usable in the long run.
That's not saying you can't get a good part for less than $650, but the chances of getting a catted downpipe that isn't a future hemorrhoid in waiting for $300 are near zero.
