Idea came up to tune the type r on e85 while keeping boost at stock level or maybe even reducing the boost. This would hypothetically help with overheating at the track.

Has anyone tried this?

Maybe a combinaton of cooling mods + e85 tune while keeping boost at stock level will help with overheating.

Not on the Type R, but a few years ago I-Moto Racing was racing a second gen Mazdaspeed3 with lower boost (14 psi vs stock 15.6 psi). Not sure if they did it for longevity or class rules. With the Type R pushing 23 psi, it would be nice to see if lowering the boost to 20 psi or so would help with overheating, my guess is it would.
