E15 can be bad for a fuel injected car...injectors don't like it so much.

I have no idea. I just know from other cars I own/owned that alcohol shortens the life of injectors. At least cars with EFI maybe DFI is different. I try to buy the least amount of alcohol in gasoline I can find for all my cars. Already had to have an engine rebuilt where a large contributing factor was leaky injectors.

This headline is not particularly significant. They are allowing E15 to continue to be sold via existing E15 pumps. No change for the rest of us.

A while back I wrote Shell USA asking about whether their Shell V-Power Nitro + contained ethanol because it wasn't marked on the pump. Here is the response I got back:
  • You should look for a label on the dispenser indicating ethanol content. All gasoline stations should post a label on the dispenser advising if the gasoline containers ethanol and the maximum amount (depending on State laws, which may or may not make this labeling mandatory for 10 % or less ethanol content.
  • Virtually, all Shell gasoline products, including Shell V-Power NiTRO + will contain 10% ethanol.

I’m curious if they will actually take the time to put the E15 label on said participating gas stations. As someone who pumps 91 + 1 gallon of e85 for tsp stage 1+ I would be way over the stock fuel system limitation if they didn’t put the E15 label. Might switch to TSP stage 1 just for safety 😔

In my state there is a law that says any gasoline sold that is between 11 and 15 % ethanol it has to be labeled as E15 at the pump...for what ever that's worth.
