Honda Civic 10th gen Dyno results with ktuner! 20161026_091819

Going to start off saying that dynoing a CVT is a pain xxD

Results represent power at the wheels, power at the engine will be more. we estimated a 30% loss from one to the other. 30% was a guess, but if anyone knows the exact % comment it haha.

This was also taken from 4th and 5th gear pulles, 3rd is where I should of been, but the CVT had a mind of its own. don't mind the fact the top rpm is low, that's just because i was hitting the speed limiter before max rpm was hit.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the results. i know it's producing more, just gotta get it to prove it on the graph.

Well torque has some big improvements there. Looks like approx 40lb improvement, so about 25% increase. Horsepower looks the same as they claim stock is, but maybe the cvt is causing problems with getting good numbers there.

What performance mods have you done besides the tune? I think I see an injen short ram intake in your avatar, is that still on and have you done anything else?

I think our engines peak hp is at 5700 or so rpm's, and it looks like your making 176 by 4500 I bet your over 200whp and that tq,....damn nice.

My top rpm is 6000 or a little higher, with ktuner. but i was hitting 125mph before I got to top rpm on the end of the pulls haha

Currently intake is the injen one, and I've done exhuast as well. the stock CAT is still on.. and yah hp is definitely more then what it's showing. I'm going to take what i learned from this and get a more accurate result later on.

You should do a test and tune day.

6.5 seconds. 50mpg highway, I average 80mph. 39mpg combined.

I will say my combined also includes the ridiculous WOT runs I take. and I push past a 100mph around 4 times a week.

Do you have any video? I feel like there aren't many videos of tuned 2016s. Also, what gear are you in for the 0-60?

Thanks man, really good to see some numbers! I doubt you are losing 30% to the wheels, most automatics are around 20% and that would put your flywheel numbers at 260tq and 221hp. You're putting down about 15 less hp and 25 more lbft than a 7th gen Accord V6 auto which makes 20% loss seem like reasonable estimation to me. It's really hard to tell though because of the CVT. It would be nice to see a stock flash side by side on the same dyno/day. This looks like a real nice plateau of torque though.

Comparing to Hondata's dyno is hard to do because it was different gear and they hit peak HP after your speed limiter kicks in. It does show however that your torque curve and fat ass powerband is vastly improved. If your peak HP is at that high an RPM then you could be looking at much higher peak numbers.

would you say the dyno understates the power since the gear ratio isn't the ideal 1:1?
