I’m currently in debate on what drop in turbo to get it’s either the W2 or the rv6 BB turbo. I just don’t know the differences? What has better warranty ? And will it bolt on to a Prl inlet pipe . And will I blow up ?( I have arp headstuds)

W2 BB would be the biggest of all the drop in turbos for this car.

over the vargas gc+? i've heard the w2 pulls hard up top but i haven't seen a comparison to the vargas in terms of top end
While size isn't everything, I would never pick a JB W2 over a GC+ you sacrifice too much mid range powerband. A BB W2 is a different story. You won't see any top end differences number wise as they can both run out of fuel on the stock system but I wouldn't doubt the W2 will have more headroom once you upgrade the fuel system.

i'm pretty heavily leaning towards the gc+, it's essentially stock spool with a great high end. just trying to determine how it's top end compares to the w2 bb
If you're sticking with the OEM fuel system then GC+ is plenty, there's no reason to add unnecessary lag for the same max output.

Vargas is great, I capped the stock fuel system on e30 and was told the gc unit has more room to push more power, when asked what to do next to make more power, I was told fuel system and 4bar map sensors.( and a motor ready haha)

I'm trying to keep her reliable, keep it through college and just have a fun daily while I save for something much faster. I'll be very happy at 325whp, which I believe the GC+ and an e30 blend will easily get me to. has anyone raced a vargas vs a w2? curious on the outcome

how'd it go? how much are both of yall making wheel
Neither of us got dyno'd just custom remote tuned from DRob. I actually won by driver mod, I could tell his car was faster cause he would start to pull away when the roll race started and he fell behind every gear shift as I never let go of the gas to keep the car in boost and he didn't flat foot shift.

I imagine the gc+ will do even better than the RV6, judging by how close the gc is to it already
I would assume, that’s not my best pass but it’s the only one I’ve recorded to 130, it cool to look at the times tho because the vargas gets the jump then goes neck and neck around 90 to 130 with the rv6 taking the edge as it revs out which is as expected if you have seen the dyno graphs of either it reflects it perfectly haha.
