I originally had the "door/window buzz" issue where my driver side window would rattle while driving. I could press on the window or crack it ever so slightly and the noise would disappear. However, this weekend my window is now making a popping sound when rolling down the window. When it reaches about 3/4 of the way down there is a popping noise from the top left side of the door.

Sadly I'm out of warranty, so I will have to dig into it myself but wanted to see if anyone experienced this (under warranty or not)

The first thing I'd do is lower the window and lubricate the window guides with silicon spray. Be somewhat conservative and careful since it's under pressure (and it doesn't smell very nice). Gravity is your friend. Start at the top and let that shit work its way down down down. Then exercise the window up and down a few times. You can always add more if needed.

I use Shin-Etsu grease on the actual rubber parts. But the hard-to-reach crevices get the silicon.

If friction in the guide is the problem; this should help. Good luck.
