Cool. I wear jeans all the time and like I said, I want to keep the car looking good as long as I can.
Be careful not to sweat in new jeans and turn the seat purple.

Hey guys and gals. I'm asking the owners of '17+ , is your driver seat worn? What I mean is, is that I notice that when I get in and out of the car, I am most likely sliding or rubbing and lower driver's seat area (insert pic) if so how did you guys prevent it from getting worn. I'm your average asian guy (4' 11") just kidding, I'm 5'7" and I want my seats to last.

Sorry but I don't see it. Is this what CTR ownership is like? lol

I had the same wheels except they were the Racing Hart C5’s. The center caps were a mother to remove. You got a nice ride by the way.

No. The OP's car is brand new. He was seeking info from owners of older cars asking about wear in that specific area. He wasn't saying his seat was worn.

I'm noticing the same thing on my 2018 EX-T.
Car is a little over 2 years old with 20,000 miles (~32,000 km).

Since new I used for the car seats the FK2 seat covers from Dreamautomotive(https://www.dream-automotive.com/collections/interior-fk2/products/tailored-heavy-duty-seat-covers)

They are more fitted(like in the first pic). Only thing is that the FK8R head rest is thicker and you need to pull them a bit harder when installing.
I think it does the job and they look reasonably(unlike FK8R ones that look like a sacks). If someone needs I can provide pics of how they fit.
can you post pics

I have the Dream Automotive seat cover for the FK8 and they are pretty nice. They smooth out pretty well after a few days.

Seat seems to hold up well. Since you keep your cars long term if many years from now it's worn to hell buy a whole new oem seat and swap it.

Sure, I'll do this tomorrow (12 PM here now).

Could you post some pics just to compare the fit with mine's?

Pff, buying the whole oem seat as parts is expensive. You could buy just the worn parts(not cheap) but then, it's easier protecting them and not needing replacement. It's much cheaper like this.
I use seat covers even in the Civic X sedan.

Even with seat covers in CTR I make sure I don't touch the side seat bolts( to exit, left wrist against low B pillar, right wrist against A pillar/steering wheel and pushing by right foot against floor while left foot gets over the left seat bolster). Yes it gets uncomfortable but it's a sports car and it rewards you in many other ways to off-set this disadvantage. Regular Civic X is easier to get inside but is not offering the same driver-car connection/involvement and so much satisfaction.

Personally I don't like owning a car that looks worn, faded, dirty. This thing becomes even more obvious with long time ownership. Yes these things are made to be used. Problem is soon this car species will be extinct. So even having the money you'll have a hard time finding such a car. In it's right minds (not modded) even less likely.

So FK2 CTR seat covers installed on FK8 CTR ones. They were installed since the very beginning. Once I took the plastic bags off after collecting the car.
They work well, I don't slide, or heat up more than in other seats.
I have about 6300 miles on them. No damage, stitch undone just like on day one. Very resilient.
