Hello, I have a couple of small paint chips on my hood and one on the front roof. I tried using one of those paint pens from the Honda dealership but I suck at using paint and making it look decent. I was thinking about buying the Dr.Paint Chip and redoing the errors I've caused. Anyone use this system and can chime in on how well it works, or have some pointers. Thanks.

I’ve never used it personally but the YouTube reviews seem to be really good. The only limitation is that the chip has to be very small. Anything medium to large in chip size it wasn’t a professional looking repair. Nothing is going to look as good as repainted the spot.

Got Dr. Colorchip for my CW. Works well enough for small chips, can't tell from far away, but up close you can see. Next best step below a proper sand fill and repair.

Don’t recommend, didn’t work well. Although the paint is exact match.

To all buying new Type R's, take this thread as fact and purchase PPF.

Assume you mean Dr ColorChip. It works well not perfect but good enough unless you do concours competitions. Follow the instructions. These are just cars they get dinged from road crap.

Its a car do your best to keep it looking good. But don't stress. I use Dr. color chip and it works well for me. the chip has to be tiny though any big chips you can tell. If you really care about these things either get PFF or put money aside after 4 years of ownership and pay for a paint touch up at a body shop.

if you’re referring to my post then yeah, i’ve also used it on a few other spots which turned out a lot better. this one was pretty fat, and the plastic underneath was also damaged, hence the bulge

Is there any way you could've blended that better?
