So I noticed my coupe is about 300~ lighter than the sedan. If they were to drag race both of those cars with the same stock and settings, would the 300lbs give the coupe and advantage? It’s still a 1.3 ton car regardless how you look at it. I drove a1.5t over the weekend and it definitely felt different considering it’s only slightly bigger than the coupe.

The coupe appears to have slightly better 0-60 and 1.4 mi times than the sedan so yes it matters :)

Yes, clearly weight matters .. but...

The Coupe weighs 300 lbs less? Not even close. An EX-T coupe's curb weight is probably just slightly less than the comparable sedan. Something less than 20 pounds or so. Also keep in mind, I've seen reviewers get essentially the same 6.6 0-60 times in L in the sedan. 0-60 runs can vary based on a lot of factors from run to run.

Well there could be almost 300 between say a lx coupe and a touring sedan just because of options and accessories available on higher models. Of course the lx coupe is not a turbo so....

Hold up.... 0-60 in L? Didn’t think that was supposed to happen? Anyone know why L is faster? Than S or normal drive?

Doesn’t L not do the simulated shift thing? Meaning it acts like a CVT should - which is rev and rev and rev. I’d imagine that is what would yield the quickest time.

L is described as being better going up hills and for better engine braking by Honda. Which is the case. But, people assume it's like Low from the old days. It's not. It just holds things at peak power like a freight train.

My experience with L is it just sits at 6000 once it gets there all the way to 105 mph (where I let off). I felt like it wasnt good for the car but I could be wrong.

Probably not safe to constantly do it, but it will consistently be quicker.

I doubt it would cause your engine/transmission to immediately fail, but driving long term at 6000 RPM is bad in terms of engine wear and would cause the CVT to overheat.
