With my previous car (MB CLK 350), the car always felt great right after an oil change. The only engine oil in that car was Mobile One 0w40.

Crazy question: after my 1st oil change at the dealer this morning, my car suddenly felt much more responsive, with higher boost seemingly coming in earlier in the rev range with less effort. I don't see how this could possibly be a thing, but I'll be damned if it doesn't feel like I have a lot more power.

Is this a thing?
Hey this is old thread but two things:

1. A DI car with small cylinder bores like ours has very few milliseconds and only the space of the cylinder to atomize the incoming fuel spray so warmer temps will create more power than colder temps although very hot air then causes retarded timing(above 95 F)

2. Fresh oil is always at max lubricity and purity versus at end of life it is contaminated and broken down. Plus some oils are just plain slicker. I test any oil I will use in my kitchen to verify lubricity with a very thin film.
