Hello!

I’ve come across a couple threads that bring up the idea that the second inlet and extra airavailable with the eventuri may cause a cel to trigger.

Is there truth to this at all?

Im not really interested in it for any performance gains. I am just looking into it purely for the sound and look. Just don’t really feel like buying hondata and tuning it as of right now.
Thx

I'm tuned on hondata right now but even previous to the tune I didn't have any CELs with the eventuri.

IIRC, the version 1 needed a tune because the MAF would read less air flow than actual (bigger diameter). When the ECU measures the air at the MAP, it can throw a MIL because it’s noticing that difference. The second air snorkel will have no MIL effect as it is before the MAF.

I think most MILs that one will see from an intake will be something wrong with the hoses.

I installed my Eventuri box and ran it for a little more than a month before getting Hondata. No CELs for me

Might be the eventuri charge pipe as I have heard that the larger diameter can throw codes since it is post maf sensor. I ran the V1 before my Hondata but without a charge (inlet) pipe without issues as previously mentioned. These days I do have the rampage inlet pipe but haven't had any issues but also have it tuned on hondata by @kefi. So if not tuned make sure you get it.

One other thing, you didn't disconnect the battery and it's going through it's normal error messages it shows after startup right?

It may clear on its own within a few miles/days. It could have happened if during installl you turn the car on in accessory mode for any reason. Either way none of those parts should throw a code. Probably recheck the seals.
