All my previous cars with CC worked similarly. After setting speed click 1x and you would go up or down 1mph. One click to adjust speed gets me nothing. I have to press and hold the button and response can be random. Is it broken or does it just suck?

2019 CTR

I tried to update title to add CTR but can't figure out how

This is how the CC works: hold the up or down until the speedo reads the desired set speed. Just pressing it once, in either direction, does nothing.

I've got the same issue, the cruise control is super imprecise and you just have to hold up or down and let go when you get close to the speed you want. It drives the OCD me in crazy when I'm trying to hit 80 but can only get 79 or 81.

thats really odd i was playing with it the other day and one click up will bring it up one mph
then I concur the cruise blows in the Type R. Fun Fact: my EVO came with no Cruise Control, it was not even an option. Reason I guess: Racecar?

Type R is similar I suspect not many thought we'd be using cruise control in a type r. Maybe honda thought few of us would daily drive the car. My denali and evo have sat since I've bought this car.

It doesn't suck that bad. Just hold the button down to change speeds. If you're changing speed so much where this becomes cumbersome, just turn off cruise control lol

Too funny! Was just talking to my wife about this...it sucks. Works great on all my other Honda’s. Don’t understand.

I've noticed you get significantly worse gas mileage using CC vs using your foot

Please note this is a design flaw. Owners need to contact their dealers and American Honda.

I can’t reveal the source, but it’s a software issue unresolved only in the Type R. Everyone has exactly the same problem.

Is there a fix? I ask because you said "unresolved", and no dealership is going to take our word if they don't know about it.
And if they knew about it, why aren't they fixing the software with a patch before the car hit the dealer lots, or owners' hands?

There is no fix yet. Just inform dealer of the problem and also contact Honda corporate.

Software re-engineering/rework costs money.

I bought a new Type R two weeks ago and I'm experiencing the same behavior with my cruise control. I was planning to take mine back to the dealer. Has this been fixed by Honda or will I be wasting my time?
