My car is at 52k miles at the moment it started around the 38K for random misfires at high throttle. In time you may encounter it. Hoping it doesn’t.
im at 54k miles currently. been running the setup since 7/2020. only thing that has ever went wrong was when the ewg bracket from the prl kit broke into 3 pieces.
Boost related ignition misfires is because the pressurized intake air blows out the spark. Smaller gap helps prevent that. A stronger spark also helps fight that.
custom tuned or off the shelf with the prl big turbo kit?
So far it hasn’t happened yet. Went with a chevy ss for like 5 minutes. So I can definitely say that is the longest I ever went with someone as most are like 10-15 seconds.
as far as i know there are no OTS tunes for the prl kits. custom tuned by drob.
I thought ktuner had off the shelf tunes for upgraded turbos but I guess it was only for w1. I wonder if the prl big turbo is equal to the 27won, rv6 and vargas. I think i’m going to wait until they improve the turbos. I love the sound of the prl big turbo kit. I wonder if the other drop in sound the same or similar.
