Do I really need to confirm the ECU to order a Ktuner v1.2?

I have a run of the mill US spec 2017 EX-T coupe, and I am too blind to see the damn serial #.

Do I really need to take the air box off or can I safely assume that my car is ok for the tune and call it a day?

I got a good picture of the serial by putting my phone in there. It was visible without a picture, but a picture is still the best way to record it.
