No, H1 and D2S are two different sockets. So an h11 bulb will fit in a d2s socket?
I never said stock bulbs will work in D2S projectors. What I said was that D2S projectors use OEM bulbs. While the words "stock" and "OEM" are often used interchangeably, they do not have the same meaning in the context of my post. I think perhaps you might be confused about the topic this thread is discussing.Read what I said again. You said the stock bulbs will work with the d2s projectors.
I meant no hostility or competition in my post, I'm simply trying to offer an explanation to some questions that I'm having trouble understanding.I mean regular sylvania halogen bulbs are considered “oem” take it easy there man. It’s not a knowledge competition. I was only asking. You said oem bulbs will work with d2s projectors. I have oem sylvania halogen bulbs, and I took your post as I can use those with d2s projectors...
I prefer the Mini D2S, but they are a 3" projector and likely require a fair bit of modification to fit in the Civic factory halogen housings. The OP listed a few OEM projector options that should be a direct fit, and likely Mini H1 projectors would be relatively painless to mount. Morimoto sells 4TL-Rs also that use D2S bulbs that might be a good substitute for the OEM options listed in the OP.Miscommunication that’s all. I do have 150w hids in. That’s why I’m researching for projectors, I need to swap.
Nice! I was actually about to start a d2s retro after I pick up a spare set of headlights. What'd you cut the new bracket out of?Just finished my retrofit.
I used some aftermarket Chinese headlights
Morimoto 5.0 D2S
D2S universal brackets
I also picked up some Morimoto led fog lights w/type s laminx
Took me about 2 weeks to complete.
I ordered from the retrofit source and they have universal brackets D2S 4.0 x2 for $30 bucks.Nice! I was actually about to start a d2s retro after I pick up a spare set of headlights. What'd you cut the new bracket out of?
