Nice write up. Did this a few days ago as well as the door panel arm rests. Nice improvement in feel over the cheap dirt trapping cloth.

I took a red marker to the white stitching to try amd blend it in.
Do you know the difference between the two part numbers for the arm rests? for example
9 83503-TBA-A51ZA Right Front Door Lining *NH900L* Armrest Assembly (Leather) (Deep Black) $182.61
9 83503-TEG-J11ZA Right Front Door Lining *NH900L* Armrest Assembly (Leather) (Deep Black) $46.96

You will have to ask a dealer. It could be simply the leather covering itself or a new part ID that supersedes the old one.

The cheaper one is just the leather lining, the pricey one is the actual piece with the leather lining installed to it.
Do you know if it would be difficult to pull off the cloth lining and install the leather lining?

I only know the shift boot, which is hot glued and stapled. i imagine it would be super easy to peel it off if theyre supply just the skin.

They are totally different dimensions, coupe door armrest are longer. I checked part numbers too and totally different.

Here is a comparison pic sedan top, coupe bottom: Hope this helps

Man, I ordered these parts like 3 months ago, center console right side and middle have been ready, but the left side has been "on national backorder" since then and I haven't been able to get it from them. Really annoying me at this point.

This is an easy how-to and one I was going to skip. But inevitably there will be someone who will try and replace the entire to slider vs. the cover (or break a tab by pulling the covers the wrong way).

Time: 5-10 minutes
Tool: Phillips screwdriver (and maybe an interior plastic separator for the three covers.)
Parts: 3 leather components sold by Honda for around $90.
  • Left console cover: 83416-TXM-A11ZA $23
  • Right console cover: 83411-TXM-A11ZA $23
  • Center console slider assembly: 83441-TXM-A01ZA $45
You can also wrap the fabric/leather yourself for around $15-20 without the OEM stitching. But the left and right covers are reported to be a challenge due to the multiple angles.

Parts and the couple steps below:

Step 1: Remove the left and right covers. Apply firm, upward pressure on one end, working your way to the other side until all four tabs are released from each side.

Avoid sideways pressure or you will break the alignment tabs.

Step 2: Remove the cover on the old and new slider assemblies. (Do not be that guy and remove the entire center console lol.)

There are two screws and four tabs that hold the top cover in place.
  • Remove the two screws.
  • Lift the cover from the assembly, starting at the front near the screw holes.

Step 3: Install is in reverse. Press in the left/right covers and top cover. Replace the two screws on the underside of the slider assembly for the top cover.

You're done! No more scratchy arms or unsightly worn fabric.

How did you remove the entire lid and assembly?

The "lid" is secured by 2 screws and 4 tabs underneath. Open the lid to access & remove the 2 screws. Then apply upwards pressure, starting from the front, to lift the lid away from the 4 tabs.
