This is an easy how-to and one I was going to skip. But inevitably there will be someone who will try and replace the entire to slider vs. the cover (or break a tab by pulling the covers the wrong way).

Time: 5-10 minutes
Tool: Phillips screwdriver (and maybe an interior plastic separator for the three covers.)
Parts: 3 leather components sold by Honda for around $90.
  • Left console cover: 83416-TXM-A11ZA $23
  • Right console cover: 83411-TXM-A11ZA $23
  • Center console slider assembly: 83441-TXM-A01ZA $45
You can also wrap the fabric/leather yourself for around $15-20 without the OEM stitching. But the left and right covers are reported to be a challenge due to the multiple angles.

Parts and the couple steps below:

Step 1: Remove the left and right covers. Apply firm, upward pressure on one end, working your way to the other side until all four tabs are released from each side.

Avoid sideways pressure or you will break the alignment tabs.

Step 2: Remove the cover on the old and new slider assemblies. (Do not be that guy and remove the entire center console lol.)

There are two screws and four tabs that hold the top cover in place.
  • Remove the two screws.
  • Lift the cover from the assembly, starting at the front near the screw holes.

Step 3: Install is in reverse. Press in the left/right covers and top cover. Replace the two screws on the underside of the slider assembly for the top cover.

You're done! No more scratchy arms or unsightly worn fabric.

Looks awesome.

I've been debating on buying the uber cheap ebay covers that have to be manually stitched. The cloth is just so abrasive on my elbow.

Thanks for the tutorial. Next mod on my list to do. Parts are now around $216 shipped from Honda Parts Network. I wish I would have gotten this a long time ago.

The cost of waiting

Design,

Can you double check this part number?
  • Center console slider assembly: 83441-TBA-A11ZA $98

Does anyone know the difference between the coupe/ sedan and “wagon” console?
I see one actually says leather but I have no idea. Thanks

Thanks for the catch. Center console is indeed 83441-TBA-A01ZA .

Updated in the OP.
Great thanks.

I still have no idea what the difference is between the Hatch and the Coupe/Sedan is concerning the center console. Other than cost.

The Hatch is held on with an E-clip that my Coupe does not have. I took the two screws off holding the pad to the assembly and popped it off from the Hatch and installed on my console housing. I guess the housing is different somehow but I already boxed it up and put away. Maybe I will take it out and look out of curiosity.

I ordered the Hatch and it works perfectly on my Coupe. Seems like I just wasted $33 though.

Nice write up. Did this a few days ago as well as the door panel arm rests. Nice improvement in feel over the cheap dirt trapping cloth.

I took a red marker to the white stitching to try amd blend it in.

Do you happen to know the part numbers for the door arm rests and do they have them for the back as well? Thanks! Looks great btw!
