Hey all,
Figured since I am new and always ask the questions and havent contributed, figured id start with my first project. A lot of these ideas came from the forums, just wanted to share how I went about doing it. Firstly, invest in a wedge type plastic tool. I bought the audio wedge kit from walmart. I used these to stick in the outsides of the grill and it kept me from damaging the paint. Once the clips were removed, you can reach in with your hand to get the one bottom pop out clip holding the grill. Once off, I used a dremel cutting disc to make the large cuts, then followed up the edges with a small wedge sanding attachment with the dremel to get the edges. Lastly I used 400 grit sandpaper to even it out. I hope this helps someone out. Just wanted to see if I could get cooler air to my PRL Cobra. Plus. It looks nice imho. Sorry about the large pics. Oh and Happy Fathers Day if it applies.
