Manual transmissions have always originally been called “Standard Transmissions”

If you see STD on Honda’s website, that means it is offered with a manual transmission.

If you young guys really want your mind blown...

Back in the day when folks would talk about transmissions, a "standard" meant a manual.
Or call it a stick shift

An AMT gearbox is almost similar to a conventional manual gearbox, the major difference is that the gear shifting is done by a control unit. So instead of a driver engaging a clutch and changing gear the control unit does this for the driver.
