Did I overpay for my CTR? What did you pay and final price once done paying?

Hello im always wondering if I ended up over paying for my Championship White CTR. When I wen to the dealer (New Jersey) and the sticker was marked up to 50k. I told them the car is not worth more than 40k to me meaning id be willing to pay a 5k Mark up. We ended up settling on 39k if I took it that day (offered 25k down payment cash). Once I'm done paying I would have spent 44-45k on this car. Did I get a good deal? Its a 2018 by the way 13959.

Personally, I don't think it's a good deal and most will mostly say the same. But if you think it's worth that much, then that's all that matters I suppose.

Anything over MSRP is overpaying. This isn’t a rare Porsche 911R or something.

$34,945 MSRP paid plus usual 7.5% sales tax and doc fees here. Out the door was $37K something paid half on Amex card and half cash.

I paid 43k otd for my 2018, a good deal would be no markup lol.
yea I know no mark up would be great but by good deal I mean nothing like 10-15k mark up that a few might have paid when it first was released lol, I don't think a 5k mark is too crazy but 5k can go a long way

When did you buy it? I got my type r in august and i had 2 dealers in new jersey that were willing to take 1k markup and NO markup respectively. I ended up hooking up a dude in one of the facebook groups with the MSRP deal since i had already gotten mine elsewhere for MSRP at that point. I think you shouldnt have openly offered to pay a markup. You stick firm to MSRP and if you HAVE to have it NOW then you stay firm and bite on the closest you can get them to msrp. I would never tell them oh ya this car is worth a MAX of XXXX to me and use a number OVER MSRP lmao silly tactic on your end. But hey if it was worth it to you at the time thats all that matters.

Agreed anything over MSRP is overpaying right now, however, if you want to feel better about spending an extra 5k, go look at Nurburgring lap times and compare to all of the 100k and up cars surrounding the Type R.

I got it July and yea I think that was dumb on my end haha, its my first time buying a new car and I was so excited when I saw it up close in person. It called my name. I got it at Hudson Honda. To me this is like my Ferrari so at the end of the day I guess it won't matter and ill learn from my mistake. Im 23, young and dumb I guess.

That’s only until you own a 100K+ car ;-)

Holy crap. That's awesome that your dealership allowed you to pay with your CC on half of the purchase price. I wished mine did. They would only allow the deposit for CC charges.
