Was always secretly missing the heated seats that I’ve always had in my previously vehicles, including my Si. Already installed a Fortin remote starter last year, so I can remote start it from anywhere using my smartphone. Decided today was the day I was finally going to install an aftermarket kit into my R.

Crimestopper (also owns Fortin IIRC), which makes some electronics and remote starter stuff for vehicles, has a quality kit. It wasn’t perfect for our seats with the contours and channels we have, but it worked out well enough for me. I’m very happy with how it turned out. My butt, and my co-pilot, is toasty warm 🔥.

14 gauge wire to extended the provided heated seat wiring, solder iron, solder, shrink tubing, and a wire connector for grounding the wires to a ground point.

I soldered both grounds together and used the nut of the dash frame near steering wheel. The positive taps I plugged into the Rear Window and Aircon, which only power when vehicle is on.

Any chance you have a link to the remote start install guide? I remember someone made a repository on GitHub with all the wiring and a guide....but I can't seem to find it

So I don’t have an install guide. I sort of used what was posted by Fortin for their push to start Hon7 t-harness install. I then, with the thanks to @Hell167, created a plug and play dual relay setup that plugs into the CPSS (clutch position stroke sensor) so that the car remote starts (needs this tripped along with the clutch pedal switch) but it needs two relays to mimic the grounding of both measurements are being monitored by the car. Otherwise it throws errors on the dash until you restart the car after remote starting. Now with this setup, it’s completely seamless from remote starting and then to getting and going.

The post I think you were referring to was within here. https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/type-r-remote-start-install-issue.17487/
