You've seen plenty of the silver 2016 Civic sedan revealed at the LA debut, now here's some looks at the gray sedan which was shown at the Detroit reveal.

These pictures are great. Even though i'm not a fan of the gray... i feel like these pictures show the size of the civic well because of the people standing around. You can finally get a sense of how long it actually is, and it doesn't look to be that much longer than the current car. A couple inches at most. The body shape really does cause the illusion of length, but shown in these pictures it doesn't look as stretched out like in other pictures.

Weird question, i noticed, why is the driver side lower fake intake where the foglight is, covered, but the passenger side one isn't.... Something to do with the turbo intake???? Pictures of the LX on Motortrend don't show it being covered, while the Touring pictures do.

I like this color much more than the silver one which is just kinda meh. If you're going to have chrome trim it looks better against a darker color like this. Plus the rear tail lights really stand out against a darker body. Of the 4 colors we've seen so far my fave has to be the black one though!

My eyes are seeing the same thing as Robb - this thing doesn't seem that much bigger with people in and next to it. Good thing it has a fastback shape though. This size car with a traditional roof and trunk lines would look big and boring

The lower and wider look shows well in these photos since we can see more of the car and its surrounding.

The 1" lower height really makes it look sporty. This pic shows how low the car is... or how tall Mendel is. Anyone know his height? lol

This is such an aggressive looking front end already without even any aero kit or more aggressive styling of an Si or Type R. We should expect basically the same front end on the coupe?

I wasn't crazy about this design initially, but it's grown on me considerably. Now I'm really looking forward to the Si sedan. The combination of a torquey turbo engine, buttery smooth 6-speed manual, and legendary Honda quality is too appealing to pass up. I hope they get the sound right. I get excited at the prospect of VTEC kicking in (yo) along with the whooshing sound of a turbo. Wondering if the engineers will employ the use of a "soundaktor" like in the GTI.

The sedan, coupe and hatchback will all have identical front ends. Honda already mentioned that much. Only difference we MIGHT see on the coupe is that the chrome grill bar will be "black chrome" like on the new accord coupe (hope so).

Seems like there are very slight "fins" on each side of the car. Looks cool, I think....?

Dunno why I just noticed it now but the one thing I don't like on the new design is that hood cutline which cuts right across the front end of the hood. Previous generations never had that. Its not as clean of a look with that line there. It'll be very apparent on lighter colors I think.

Wonder why they drew the line like that.

Its actually where the front of the hood stops. If you look, alot of newer cars are like that, the hood doesn't extend to the front of the car. It stops and meets an upper piece of bumper and it has a rubber seal along the crease. I believe its for aerodynamics, not having the open hood gap in the front to catch air and pull on the hood. It's a functional design piece more so than meant as an aesthetic look.

It is functional, but I've read (for other cars that have it) that it's to meet government crash standards - by protecting pedestrians in case of impact. Somehow the cut line being there causes less injury or something to that effect.

I read that the Civic is now 1 inch lower to the ground. I noticed in our parking garage the "bumper" between spaces just barely fits under a friend's 2013 Accord. So I am guessing the spoiler/front bumper isn't one inch lower it is the main body right ?

I would guess that yes, the car itself also sits an inch lower as they also lowered the floor of the car, not just the roofline.

I'm not really concerned about this as the 8th gens had less ground clearance than the 9th gens do now, so the 10th will still have more clearance than the 8th gen civics did.
