Deleting Red Stripe on Ground Effects...

Man I came here thinking why the heck are people even thinking of removing the red pinstripe... Now after seeing some rides I’m wondering what my PMM would look like without it
BTW the blue looks amazing without the red stripe wow.

Before I bought this car I said "first thing I'm doing is taking the red stripes off", haha. Took me over 2 years and I wish I did it sooner.

I honestly never even thought of removing it until I saw this thread. If I put the SSR’s that I have in the garage on I’m seriously considering getting some of that carbon fiber looking 3m tape and covering the red stripe, or removing the red all together whatever is easier

I covered it at first with 3M matte black 1/4" pinstripe which looked really good. I found it already coming up on some of the sharper curves on the front lip after about 2 weeks. I just peeled the red off. I'm never going back anyway.

I bought it from Oreillys but Autozone sells the same brand as well.

I replaced the red with white, but added red to some other areas like the diffuser "fins" and wing. The white is a little brighter and doesn't quite color match to CW but I think it makes it pop more.

Not a type R, but I got my abs dynamics lip on and white pinstripe added to it. Really makes the whole front end pop.

I wish someone made CW vinyl, I like the idea of this, but the mis matching white would bug me.

Really dig the $8.95 CF pinstripe 1/4” vinyl on eBay...

matches the lip really well. Picked up a couple back up rolls in case these fade or get damaged over time.

Were you able to do the entire car with just one roll (32 feet)?

Yes (1) roll is enough to do the job. Recommend getting a 2nd though, in case something happens and a piece needs to be replaced.

I did this with the CF pin striping. Next morning some spots were falling, but I loved it!! Going to take mine off ASAP!
