I like it and guarantee many people will not be able to guess it's a Civic without the badge. Did you consider plastidipping it to be body colored before removing?

I did consider it and it was an option but I'm not too much of a fan of emblems anyway so I figured I'd just take it off. And like you said, I went to get gas and a older gentleman was looking at the rear end trying to guess what Model car it was.

Hah what did he guess? Don't tell me Accord, tho I guess they're not far off. To really confuse them get rid of the Honda emblem. :D

Haha yeah he kept asking and insisting it was a 2017 Accord concept..*shrugs* haha my next DIY will be on how to install an "A"cura emblem :p but don't worry..I'll turn it upside down so it still is sort of an H :D

Very easy. The double sided tape is still pretty new on these cars so I wanted to do it before it got baked on by the sun and cause a "tan" line that will take weeks to get rid of. Usually people use floss to cut between the letter and the glue but I was able to move the letters by hand so I knew it would be easy.
Carefully pry the letters off. I used Goo-Gone on the glue. Sprayed and let it sit for a few seconds then used my thumb nail to scrape off the glue. It does take some time, took me about 10 minutes for the whole thing, and your thumb nail might hurt...but it's worth it :D

You just inspired me to do the same ;) except I didn't have goo-gone and my fingernails are screwed now. Took me about an hour but so worth it!!!!
Removing all that silver/chrome makes such a difference on black! Cleans up the back view a lot

What color is your car - Crystal Black or Burgundy Night?
