Did all this within about a week and half of getting my new civic, also added a 12" sub to my stock system. This is the easily the best car I've had in every aspect.

How did you black out the H? I'd like to black out the front chrome fender and am looking for techniques/ideas on how to do that

Awesome. I think I am going to tint mine as well. How did you add the sub to the stock system? I wanted to do that, but I figured it might require a whole separate head unit.

Here's how I blacked out the H I actually ended up redoing it last nightand am getting some clear coat today to make it last.
Step 1: clean the symbol and do it somewhere relatively warm (the colder it is the longer each coat takes)
Step2: tape of the sides you don't have to get exactly on the chrome ring if you use plastidip BC the excess will peel right off and we even did the middles of the H by pushing the tape in and using a plastic edge to rid the excess tape
Step 3: follow the directions of the can and shake it a lot, 3 lighter coats 5min dry time put a 4th a thicker coat on the finish off
Step4: very carefully peel of the tape so that it doesn't try to take any of the paint on the edges of your emblem off.
Step5:eek:ptional use clear coat to make it last longer and stand up to the elements(have yet to do this)

I payed a place to tap of the rear deck speakers and used a lc2 line out adapter but I'm figuring out now that whoever did it barely even tuned it so me and my friend are tuning it all today it sounds pretty good and dhould sound better after tuning to match the stock speakers. Just not the same amount of control you have with a aftermarket headunit. I want to get a aftermarket one down the line and replace all the door speakers and tweeters and run a 200w amp through those but I'm afraid of breaking the connectivity it has to my HUD and car. Though some of these new android hu have a lot features

Great info! Thanks for the detailed step-by-step and pics!

Did you just splice a line output converter to your sub to add the 12"? Does this keep the stock sub active? Can you still control the volume using the HU sound settings?

Edit: just realized you already replied, and you don't have a stock sub so nvm!

Thanks again!
