I have a 2019 sport cvt. When taking off after parked the car has a dead spot when I press the gas. I also get it while I take a turn

Happens on my car too, it's annoying as hell but increasing throttle response from KTuner has kinda helped. It's normal.

Wait, OP has a 2.0L Sport Coupe. I thought turbo lag only happens on higher trims with the 1.5T engine? Or is it a CVT thing?

It's a CVT thing. The "lag" is the delay in the CVT logic when going from a light to heavy throttle input.

Me too. As stated above; I also believe it's software related.

Try experimenting between regular and eco mode. I get different results between those two settings.

But, yes... it's annoying and counter-intuitive to how I learned to drive.

OP, try putting the transmission in "S" for aggressive driving. It should help a bit.

Compared to an old 1988 Ford Taurus I used to have, No problem :) That car had a dead spot through the entire freakin range.

are you mashing the pedal to the floor instantly or actually slowly laying into the pedal, these aren't the Millennium Falcon and you aren't Chewie, you aren't supposed to Punch It, I one time smashed the pedal and it took a second to start moving and then damn did it move, definitely felt odd and not normal behavior and so I just don't floor it.

Another thing im, sick and tired that we have to pay extra money to a company to reprogram our computer.not just for extra power but to f
then buy a Hellcat not a Honda Civic.
ur missing the point the car should go as soon as u push the gas.its 2020 and it seems there going backwards.i had Pontiac fiero with 145 hp auto when I touched the gas it went just like my trans am.on to the topic I put in s mode and there's no dead spot have to try tomorrow morning after the car sits over night
