Ok so after getting my first ever speeding ticket yesterday, I am accelerating the radar detector purchase, just bought the Escort Max 360 last night and ordered a mirror mount and hard wire kit.
I am going to be running the wire behind everything and making it very tight because I really don't want to see any wire anywhere. I know that I am also going to be hard-wiring a dashcam in the same manner pretty soon since I am very neat and clean about the interior of my car.
I've read a couple DIY posts but I haven't seen many people hard-wire both the dashcam and radar detector and maybe that is the better place to post this, but I wanted to see if anyone has hard-wired both to their car and which fuses they chose? I am hoping to get a dashcam with a "parking" mode so that it can record while the car is off and sitting. So that one is going to need constant power. Can anyone recommend fuse locations for the radar detector and constant power dashcam?
*Side question on "parking" mode, Is there any risk to the battery of the vehicle overnight if the dashcam is draining constant power? Is that something that if I was going on vacation for a week I would want to unplug the camera?
