Every day? Why so much brake dust?

As far as a product, any decent wheel cleaner should be fine.

Daily?
I wish I had that kind of time.
Increase OCD medication dosage and switch to ceramic compound brake pads.
Seriously though, I clean wheels while washing the car just using regular car wash soap.
Wheels get done with Sonax wheel cleaner once in the middle of the summer and when they get dismounted to go into storage when installing the winter tires. I find anything more is overkill.

I'm not answering your question but hey just a recommendation. Good thing I had this forum but learned from here about the akebono brake pads. I swapped those out for my stock pads at 3k miles and super happy I did. I can drive a ton further without having to clean up all that brake dust the oem pads left behind.
Pads cost me around $100 for all 4.

Thanks... I was having a brain cramp remembering the brand.
I’ve had Akebono ceramic pads on my Boxster S for 6 years now.
Zero dusting.
A major improvement over the “make the wheels black in two days“ factory pads that came on the car.

If just wiping down the face of the wheel everyday (not using a pressure washer or hose) - I’d just so a simple waterless wash. I prefer Optimum Opti-Clean.

If you will be using water, then my preferred wheel soap is P&S Brake Buster. But I’ve attempted to spray it on and just wipe off with poor results. It really needs to be hosed/pressure-washed off.

Regardless of procedure I’d suggest using towels/brushes dedicated to just wheels. I color-code my towels and use black for wheels. And I typcially only wash them in loads with other wheel towels and my metal/engine-bay towels. You don’t really want to use grimey towels on your paint - even after they’ve been washed.

I can recommend the use of ceramic coat in the barrels and in the front face of the rims, just to avoid the daily cleaning routine.

I use Meguiar's Waterless wash & wax
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Meguiar-s-G3626-Ultimate-Waterless-Wash-Wax-26-oz/23565889
but not before taking off the wheels, cleaning the face and barrels really well, drying them really well, then putting NuFinish polish on the rim face and all over the barrels. Buff off, so now the wheels are fairly well protected. I use the Meguiar's Waterless was & wax every other day on the wheels.

Can’t speak for HAWK pads, but the Akebono ceramic pads... zero dusting.
