Hello all I fell like I’m posting to much on this topic but oh well. I’m lowering my car soon on d2’s and want to make sure I do it right. I see some people say I need other hardware to get a proper alignment and some say I’ll be fine. I want to know if it’s necessary for me to get other hardware to get a proper alignment. Also I read that with the d2’s toe can become an issue after lowering it. Is this true and if so what do I need to fix it. Thx

Here is photo of my friend’s black hatchback freshly lowered 4 days ago on D2. The rear will camber out / \ . However because of the drop, a special rear camber arm will need to be upgraded to achieve a certain spec. There are special bolts that allow the mechanic to fine tune the alignment.
there are plenty on the market. Install when you do the springs.

Photo doesn’t do much justice but you can see the rear wheel is angled inward.

This is what a d2 drop
Will look like from the rear-ish

In short - you 100% need a rear camber kit.

Yep I had toe issues with D2 springs after trying to get an alignment before camber arms. Do yourself a favor and get rear camber arms (I recommend SPC) and then ask to get it dialed to OEM specs (-1.6 or less) then get an alignment and you should be ok
