They're not available in 19". ZIII, SUR4G, and RS-4 are possibilities with 275 fr/245 rr.
i've had success with RE71Rs in hawaii (my01 ap1 and mydori ej6) but would be open to other tires. thanks for the suggestions.

Out of curiosity, after my first couple runs, I wondered if there was another VSA disable setting, and tried holding the button down and after about 10 seconds it was confirmed with another loud beep. I must have missed this in the manual. I'm not sure it ever got in the way anyway, but probably in extremely awkward autocross maneuvers it would. So pre-run is putting the car in +R mode then holding the VSA button down until what I assume is fully disabled. Am I good now? In my ES Miata, all I have to do is start the car...

Try this:

Granted i've tried the method above and also holding the button down for 10 seconds and I dont notice a difference. The only thing with the method above is that it defaults you to sport mode and not R+.

I got a chance to drive a Type R at a local event on Saturday .damn the car is violent on acceleration and turn in.

It's very fun and quite capable, but I wasn't faster in it than in my Si .I was about 2.6s slower actually. Part of it I'm sure is due to familiarity, but another was tires and weight.

Solid cars both the Type R and the Si are

Just figured i'd throw this out there since i've been canvassing the GS thread already. Is anyone going to Lincoln for Solo Nationals? Due to the newborn I wont be able to take the time required to drive to Lincoln but I think I can swing a couple days to fly in and co-drive a car if there was someone looking for a driver to help split costs in return for a drive. Currently my familiarity this season is mainly around the CTR so a drive in one would be ideal. This would be my first nationals so as a Rookie I dont have high expectations but I mainly want to run just for the experience. Anyhow... give me a PM if anyone's potentially interested.

Took the R out for it's first National Tour event and just fell short of the win in the class by 0.098. Im sure the 100 deg heat didnt help things but the car and the event was a blast!
