Hey guys!

Just received my Ktuner v1 today, and working on getting a tune with VitViper. However, when I tried the Normal/Sport Mode tune that came with the Ktuner program, I noticed that the Cylinder Knock count disappears (I.E: Ktuner records 2 knocks on cylinder 4, a few seconds later the count for that cylinder returns to 0) while the total knock count remains the same.

Is there a meaning for this? I couldn't find an explanation for it, but maybe i'm just blind:doh:

Thanks!!

2 is nothing to worry about.

When the knock cycle resets to 0 so does the individual count. The total count remains.

Knock count is a value used by tuners when analyzing data. A relatively small number over a period of time does not represent an issue. A high count in a fairly short period of time may represent a possible issue.

If my kcontrol is low but knock count high, is that safe? Because my knock control stays at 0.49 but knock count goes as high as 70

If your k con is floating around .49 you do not have anything to worry about.

That's not high enough to worry about. You'll find k con increases even with the stock tune under hard driving.
Yeah ktuner told me that stock k con is .90

Hundreds in a very short period while driving may be indicative of an issue. 70 over some period of time is not.

I think you may have misinterpreted that. K con on a stock ECU that has been reset starts at 0.90, but you would not expect it to stay that high assuming you are running decent fuel on the stock tune.
