CVT Oil Change Check Plug Temperature

After you’ve drained your CVT fluid and put more fluid in. When you go to check the level by removing the check bolt, is there a specific temperature the transmission should be at? It seems that most people run their cars through the “gears”, but don’t use a scan tool to verify the temperature.

The service manual tells you this.

First fill it until the fluid comes out of the check bolt hole.
Then run the vehicle to full operating temp (until the radiator fan turns on TWICE).
Run through the gears for 3 seconds in each gear from P down to L then again 3 seconds in each gear from L to P.
Turn car off.
Then fill it again until the fluid comes out of the check bolt hole.
Button everything up.

Double check that but that is what I bought before. I also only changed it once in the 4 times I changed the fluid.
