Hello, my 2016 turbo had had trans fluid changed every 30k-ish miles. First three times at the dealer, and this last time I did it. Car has a 123k miles and runs like a champ. I just found out there are filters in the CVT, one below the air box and then another one inside (accessed from under the vehicle). Do these need to be serviced? I’m p sure the dealers just did a drain and fill.
Thanks I’m advance.

Please do replace the filter and the strainer and also clean the internal magnets. I will be doing the same as well shortly.

I have over 170,000 miles on my 2016 CVT. I've changed fluid twice at 50K mile intervals per the maintenance minder, and twice at 35k miles for "mountainous driving" per the manual.

I've done all my services myself. The drain bolt magnet has had nothing on it. The service manual does not state changing the filters, so I intend to never change them so long as the drain bolt magnet remains clean at my changes.

Thanks for the replies. There’s a Honda dealer technician with a YT channel and I posed the same question there and he said no filters need changing. I’ll just keep up with fluid changes, maybe every 25k now that I’ve got pretty high mileage

Probably worth doing at some point if you want it to last well past 250,000 miles.

I’ll probably do it next time I drain the fluid, ~140k miles. The bottom strainer looks fairly easy to get to. Not sure about that upper cylindrical filter
