Custom exhaust setups post here!

Just wanted to make a thread for people to share their custom exhaust setups.

I originally deleted my resonator and welded on a Megans Racing MDT muffler which has been great for the past year or so. But I caught glimpse of the new Greddy DD-R exhaust and fell in love with it.... Minus the $700+ price tag. So since my profession is welding and metal fabrication I said screw it I'll attempt to make a similar cheaper setup. I went ahead and ordered a few things:

-Flowmaster FX muffler $40
-Vibrant U/J bent tubing $42
-2) 2.5"- 4" tips $50
(Definitely changing the angle on the tips btw. 45° is way to much of an angle lol)

I'll be starting this next week and into next weekend so I'll update it then!

I finished fabing and welding everything at work today. Unfortunately I dont have the equipment I'd like at this job but none the less I achieved the look I was aiming for! I was going to powder coat it but after talking to the powder coat guy at work, I determined it'll be best to paint it with exhaust paint instead. I'll be welding this on and the Flowmaster muffler hopefully this coming weekend. I'll make a video then aswell.

UPDATE: 5/3/20

I welded everything up today on our lift and pulled it back off and painted it to protect it from rusting. First off it's exactly what I wanted look wise! It is unfortunately a little louder than I was hoping for. Not unbearable tho. It does have a slight drone in 6th gear around 2000-2300 rpm. I'm happy with it overall!

where you buy the Flowmaster FX muffler at $40, i have plans to install it in my civic sport before the HDMI tip and delete the oem muffler, can you take a picture to see more in detail internally?

Oem is 2" OD

Flowmaster dbx muffler where resonator used to be, dual piped to two black 3" tips. Stock pipe diameter.

Sounds very nice dude good job, is to loud for my taste but i like the finish.

Yeah definitely louder than I wanted, at some point I'll weld in a different muffler to try and quiet it down some. Thanks!
