Not sure how it happened but my cup holder that slides inside the console randomly broke. It won’t sit in the grooves. Not sure if there’s anyway I can fix it but I just noticed it when I got in my car today after work. Has anyone else experience this? If so, is there a way to fix part or am I go. A have to buy a whole new one?? ?

If you need a new groove then you would have to replace the whole console assembly (p/n 83452-TBA-A01ZA, $186.20CAD) + a new cup holder assembly (p/n 83446-TBA-A01ZA, $22.45CAD)

I'm thinking you're still under warranty (3/60) so you'll be good to go. Unless comp is different in the States

I made the same mistake the first time I took the cupholder out for cleaning. I was panicking as I had the car for less than a week and was bummed that I already broke something. ?

I put mine in the dishwasher a few times (it made sense at the time- since it’s removal😅🤷🏼‍♀️😅).. But, it unfortunately warped the strips of felt that are on the sides, that go into the grooves.. So, now it’s always sliding & tipping-over sideways😒😞..
I was thinking it’s be easiest to just replace it. & i considering the amazon $18-$25 replacement ones.. BUT.. now, i noticed they didnt appear to have the built-in spring-notches, that help hold the drinks/cups in more securely/snug

SOO, now i’m wondering what the felt on the sides are called?

Another thing to note too is the cup holders went through a redesign in the refresh to include the Spring-loaded things from the factory. A much better Design, it may just be better to upgrade to that as i've heard many did that vs replace the felt strip

I had no idea they changed cup holders. Going to be ordering a replacement now as I have the one without the spring-loaded tabs, hate when I have a cup sliding around in the cup holder, I'm always afraid its gonna spill.

Hello fellow NE Floridian!

Did you or your significant other/spouse happen to own a black 2019 Civic Si that they got rid of with less than 10k on the odometer by any chance? I only ask because I bought my 2019 Si about 3 years ago and the radio was still paired with "Jens iPhone"
