Honda need to find a new supplier for their wiring harnesses. Last year when the all-new 2017 Ridgeline was introduced, the first few months of production had a wiring harness running from the cab to the bed that had a crimp splice placed in the wrong location by the supplier. ...
Doubtful the US and UK use the same harness supplier.

Just fixing the connector is the safest solution. IMO much better than replacing the whole harnass. You can check it yourself by pulling the connector out.
It definitely is not. When you start messing with the harness on your own when the car is under warranty you are risking honda denying further claims. It's under warranty I would just take it to the dealer and get a whole new harness for free then mess with something you don't need to.

Oh, they almost certainly do. It's all about cost. It's cheaper for Delphi to make 300,000 harnesses a year in Mexico or China and ship them to the US, Canada, Mexico, and the UK than it is to have four companies make 75,000 harnesses locally.

Parts are from too many places there is no way to be on top of QC, so things got slide

Just got hit with the same fault. What's the latest news about the fix for this? I have a service appointment tomorrow morning.

Geez! This is really popping up a lot. Is it inevitable for us all?

They can solder it as a temporary fix while the wiring harness gets to the dealership. That's Honda's solution

If they were making 300k of them I would agree. Would think the 2- 8k they would be making for the CTR would not lend itself to a mass (mess) production effort. More likely the parts are made in a specialty (low volume) shop. Not sure we'll ever use 300k or even 75k of a CTR unique item.

This is exactly what happened to me. Dealership was able to repair the faulty connector and release the car back to me but Honda wants the whole harness replaced. The dealership ordered the part and surprisingly, it came in overnight. I've got an appointment to go back next week and get it swapped out, they want the engine cold so I have to drop it off right before they close so they can work on it first thing in the morning.

I turned off the auto blip function before leaving the dealership...
(i always heel toe myself...would be too weird too have a system do it for me)

Can the error still trigger without the system being used?

It also pops an emissions error, it seems that the wire is actually disconnecting based on the picture so I would think it would throw the code either way.
