I have had 2 grinds going from 1-2 but they were both my fault because I didn't fully engage the clutch the first few days I had the car. Over 3k miles now and no problems aside from taking it to the dealer for the passenger A pillar rattle.

I'm over 25k miles on #1362. I've experienced a couple of lockout issues, and a couple of gear grinds that were my fault because I didn't fully engage the clutch. I changed my transmission fluid to Amsoil Synchromesh around 15k miles and haven't had a lockout or grinding issue since. The only headaches I get from this car are when I pick up a nail. I've had 4 so far :)

Tyler, I am having second gear grinds at higher RPMs so I figured I would try Amsoil synchromesh and took it to my local Honda dealership to do it for me. They told Me I would void my engine warranty if I used Amsoil. Have you heard of this? Thanks, Alan

Breaking this survey into a comparison of MY2017 vs. MY2018 might be interesting. I have a MY2018 (Dec.), and never experienced any of the listed of problems over my ~14,500 miles, but I know that many owners of MY2017 have had a whole plethora of them. To my untrained eyes, it seemed like Honda had addressed at least some of first-year issues in MY2018.

2017 MY here & none of the issues above. My first mod was a PRL intercooler, but never soaked on stock IC either. I’m fairly certain you will only see heat soaking at full boil hot lapping This thing.

5->4 lockout was bad in the first 1.5k miles. It has not happened since around 3k. Currently at 18k miles.

What is the wheel off center issue?
