With 17MY CTR coming in late May or mid June, it'll be a shortened 17MY run. For 18MY, I wouldn't expect any updates and or changes.

Typically Honda will change/update something very minor just to differentiate one year from another, such as changing the head unit or wheel design. Power and transmission should be the same. However, this usually isn't enough to make one trade their current model for the newer model.

A mid-year refresh will typically involve new bumpers, headlights, and possibly a power bump, etc.

For the CTR, do you expect similar updates? Does the CTR typically follow the typical Honda life cycle updates?

Obviously this is all speculation, but so is the release date, and we're only supposedly one month away from release date.

Be pretty fucking stupid if Honda waits till March of next year to release the MY18, there's already some people that won't be able to get the MY17, so why make them wait more?

I would expect absolutely no change from '17 to '18.

For reference, the 10th gen hatch was (I believe this is all right) released at Geneva (or was it NYIAS? I forget) but not on sale/on its way from England until the end of August. On sale at the end of August with a Model Year of 2017...while they were still pushing 2016 coupes and sedans.
(Our MDX - picked it up in MAY of 2015 as a Model Year 2016...so right now it's 1 lovely year old but has 43000 on it.)

So, point being, not sure how far past August they'll keep going with 2017MY CTR's. Maybe as late as November?

I agree, I don't expect to see any changes aside from working out some of the bugs.

IMO, I don't expect any major changes on the CTR from 17 to 18. Maybe a minor tune, color, bugs, or tire option but besides that, I am sure it will not make any noise.
