Thank you. I don't believe Stephen Matchett is keeping his tracker updated any longer.

I did find one today at MSRP! I talked to the dealer.. "yes, we are selling it at MSRP, I'll send you the worksheet - let me know what you think"

Hi all,

If anyone local is looking for a Civic Type R, I just sold my 2021 CBP Type R to AutoNation Honda Dulles. It has almost 1,800 miles, never tracked, properly broken into the first 600 miles. I never had a performance modifications on the vehicle. I purchased the car with the OEM weather mats, cargo tray, wheel locks, 3M door guards, illumination kits for the console, interior and door sill and diamond ceramic paint and interior protection (7 year). After purchase I got a whole front PPF (10 Year Llumar) and 30% ceramic tint (small scratch on front passenger side from a puppy..). Car has some minor blemishes on the front on the PPF, but nothing too noticeable. Car was always garaged and detailed regularly.

If anyone is interested and needs more info, feel free to reach out. I never had any issues with the car except the Car Play crashing, and the only reason I ended up selling it was that it was just sitting in my garage, and the offer was more than what I paid for the car. I assume they are gonna list the car close to or around $50k..as a CPO. I know the DMV area typically has huge markups, as I had to purchase my car out of state for MSRP with those add-ons. This could be a good an OK deal in the DMV area for a basically new 21 with extras and the CPO warranty.

Pretty much this. Bought 2021 WRX (had 2019 WRX earlier then got 2021 Crosstrek - got bored, back to WRX). I tried Type R again but the least I could do around DFW was 5k over MSRP. I was actually looking to buy a 3-row SUV too but Honda dealers are beyond shady. My stomach just churns at the thought of talking to them. Good thing is 2021 WRX has better tuning (than 2019 version)- almost no rev hang, fixed issue with hill assist and minimal rattles. This was my last attempt at Type R - don't have the patience to explore it again. My next car is going to be M2 (if there is a manual still available) if I want to go premium or GTI.

If we are going to flame the dealers that are doing ADM's, we should also do something to go out of our way to acknowledge the dealers not marking up like 'big meanies.' This isn't necessarily meant to become a debate on the legality of markups or the inner workings of capitalism, just to try and either help people find good dealers for a CTR or even for a regular DD.

As the list grows, I'll try to compile them by state.

FL-
Wilde Honda in Sarasota - MSRP!

MD-

PA-
Apple Honda, York. MSRP. (Black unit already 'sold')
Rahal Honda

edit- removed Heritage Honda in MD
Doubt Wilde still has anything for MSRP anymore. Their Sarasota dealership is my local dealer (and where I bought my Si from). Had a coworker tell me just today that he was shopping around and there was an '18 Si with 40k on it for $25k. That's what I paid for my '19 Si with 9 miles out the door when I bought it new in February of 2019.

Might as well close this thread...its over
Thing is - when dealers finally relent and start lowering their ADM some or go back to MSRP - then this thread will be all crazy again about how MSRP is easy to be had etc. And I figure by the 1st quarter of 2022 dealers will start to deal some with the ADM since the new model would be coming out soon etc.

Same here. I gave up on the 2021 models. Now I'm waiting for the new Type R & STi to come out.

Subaru fixed the rev-hang in the 21 WRX?
